June is here which means summer has arrived! Here in Virginia, I’m about to break out my tube tops because the weather is sweltering! I’ve never been a fan of humidity and the East Coast seems to have an over-abundance of it. I guess I’ll have to find a way to survive since I have so many beach trips planned this summer.
Around six months of age, I noticed Necalli eyeing my bowls and cups whenever I ate. He’d stare whenever I went into the kitchen, and he seemed to be breastfeeding more often. The former may have just been slight separation anxiety, but I got the hint that he was ready for baby food.
Lately, I’ve had so much on my plate. Starting YouTube, maintaining this blog, photography classes, and creative writing have really gotten to your girl. Don’t get me wrong, these things are my hobbies and passions; I love them. But that doesn’t mean they don’t wear me out mentally sometimes. Working through this has reminded me to bring the fun back into my life. You’re probably thinking: “You’re 21, Kristen. Where did the fun go?” I think it snuck out of my postpartum suite 7 months ago. Have barely seen it since.
As you guys know, I’m on a journey to living a more healthy and natural lifestyle. I’ve been digging deeper into vegan, cruelty-free, organic and non-toxic beauty and am very excited to start switching the products I use. The only problem I’ve run into is where to start. I don’t want to commit to full-size bottles of anything just yet and I want to try more things than I actually want to pay for. (Funny, but true.)

My goal to cultivate a more natural lifestyle has led me into the life-changing world of sustainable fashion. In a previous post, I mentioned starting Project 333. What started as a way to simplify my day-to-day life has evolved into an opportunity for me to do my part in preserving the environment through sustainable shopping while sharing it with others.
If you’re a returning subscriber to the blog, you’re probably wondering what the heck all this change is about? What’s The Cocoa Lens? YouTube? Let me explain.
Move over March, April is here! With the beginning of April comes the end of my 30 day Yoga Challenge. Was it insightful? Did I succeed in doing yoga everyday? Am I a yoga guru now? Let’s get into it…
